Davis could have been a good coach if he had tried to build a program instead of taking short cuts trying for one good season he could use to get out of town

Most excited I've been about UAB basketball since Davis. I think AK could get us back to that level and more. Hope he keeps the uni's from the Haase/Eshan era. That gray Birmingham Jersey is fire.....
See a 10 man rotation for the season not including Toney,Rotegaard, or Jeffries.

I would point out to the authors that find the Ertel and Jackson signings mysterious that by seasons end we were starting a baseball player in our back court. Benjamin got a little banged up (I think) and had also hit the freshman wall. We most definitely needed help on the perimeter.

If it was just the end of his tenure that went this way I think everybody would’ve understood and given him a pass. But Davis is absolutely the last good coach we had at UAB, although that isn’t really saying a ton. Haase was an average coach who recruited pretty well. Ehsan was a terrible coach who recruited okay.

I did and it gave too much credit to Davis. Mike Anderson went to three straight NCAA's. Mike went to one first four. How many conference tournament games did Mike Davis win? Hasse won an actual NCAA tournament game.

How? So how many top 25 wins Haase/Eshan had? They surely scheduled alot of them. Yes Haase won one NCAA tournament game, hasn't been back since he's a good coach alright. Davis is trying to take his 4th school to the tournament terrible coach. Davis while at UAB had 1 NCAA appearance, 3 NIT appearances, 2 losing seasons in 6 years. UAB the 8 years post Davis, 1 NCAA and 1 NIT. Davis actually got two Blazers drafted. The eight years since the only legit next level player we've had was Chad Frazier. Good coach can finish 16-15, win a conference tournament in Birmingham, win one NCAA then go 26-5 and make the NIT?
