VP Debate, 2020 edition - GoodOwl - 10-05-2020 02:47 PM

For some nostalgia before Wednesday's get-together, here's Ronnie!

Seriously, this will be the m ore interesting debate, as everyone pretty much knew how the pres debate would turn out before anyway. What will be interesting to see if while VP pence discusses issues and accomplishments, what kind of half-cocked BS Harris decides to rant on about.

Whoa easy there.... I am pretty sure she full-cocked her way up the ranks.....

I forget how Pence did in the 2016 debate. He comes off as too nice of a guy, IMO.

RE: VP Debate, 2020 edition - Bronco'14 - 10-05-2020 03:11 PM

I don't remember anything from Pence's 16 debate

RE: VP Debate, 2020 edition - CardinalJim - 10-05-2020 03:59 PM

Mike is your typical Midwesterner. Nice to a fault but can tell you off with a smile on his face. He’s going to carve Kamala up and smile while he does it.

RE: VP Debate, 2020 edition - gdunn - 10-05-2020 03:59 PM

All he's gotta do is throw a haymaker or two and she'll be stumbling worse than Biden.

RE: VP Debate, 2020 edition - gdunn - 10-06-2020 11:41 AM

I went back and found a BBC article about the 2016 debate that the headlines kinda mirror today.

Trump's down for.
He's made too many blunders.
He's behind in the polls.

But Pence won the debate by being cool, calm, and collective. Apparently I forgot he used to be a talk show host and his demeanor resembled that.

Well Trump's strategy was to interrupt Biden instead of letting Biden hang himself and Biden's strategy was to call Trump names to get him off track.

I suspect Harris will call Pence names and make fun of his religion and tell lies about President Trump. Pence will focus on facts and figures.

Pence should open with “just how many ***** did you have to suck to get on this stage tonight?” That would catch her by surprise.

One could honestly expect Kamala to brag about her oral skills tomorrow night.

Mike Pence is a very good at debating and making the points he needs to without letting his emotions/feelings get involved.

I do think Kamala is much more skilled and intelligent than Tim Kaine and Biden though.

If anything I can see Kamala making some jabs at Mike Pence tonight. She has an Ego like Trump and Biden if not worse IMO. Hopefully, this will be be her downfall as she's only running for VP (On Paper).

Should be an interesting debate tonight. Maybe they will both keep it cool and just stick to policy. Let's find out Lol.

Pence just needs to highlight some of her policy inconsistencies and ask her what she really believes. Then she's got problems. Her beliefs are illusive and ever changing depending on the audience and other circumstances.

Also press her on if a Harris/Biden ticket will pack the court, eliminate the filibuster and admit D.C. and Puerto Rico as new states. Watch her deflect and then Pence needs to point out that like slo Joe, she is evading answering. Then, suggest that the implication is that the two of them are not willing to tell the public what they plan to do and that you must elect them to really know. Compare it to Nancy Pelousy saying we need to pass the bill to know what is in it. Highlight how un-American that stance is.

Even if I was down the middle and hated Trump so much I was leaning towards Biden, packing the court would be a must answer question for me to actually fill my vote for Biden. I don't get how that question so far has been allowed to slide.

Because we all know the truth, but the media can't let it get out there because that would cement Trump for another 4 years.

RE: VP Debate, 2020 edition - olliebaba - 10-06-2020 01:29 PM

Pence needs to remind Carmela about what she said about Obite'em being a racist and a sexual predator, (something that she is also that's why she went up the ranks) but still managed to get him with Soro's blessing (evil blessing) as Obite'ems running mate. Pence also has to remind her of her time as DA where she loved to incarcerate blacks and laughed about it.

Also about her constant lying where everyone here knows because someone posted it not too long ago.

RE: VP Debate, 2020 edition - Bronco'14 - 10-06-2020 01:36 PM

Yep, definitely gotta hammer she called Biden a raciss & sexual predator

I trust Pence will do it :) Otherwise he deserves the L MSM is already going to give him

Oops! Most folks don't think of Mike Pence as a socialist.

Well, who do you think is going to bring up a question like that?
