Georgia Southern @ Louisiana Game Thread - geauxcajuns - 09-26-2020 11:28 AM

I feel like this game will be a battle of depth. If the Cajuns can sustain long drives in offense and wear down the GaSo defensive depth it could be an easy win.

7-7 in second quarter.

Starting to think CCU is the team to beat.

Game going as i expected.

Southern had 2 weeks to prepare. Eagles look fresh and ready to play. Great ball control and dominating time of possession. My first game watching GS, but their run defense look stout as well so far.

Cajun's dangerous offense is neutered because defense wont give them the ball back. Cant score when you dont have the ball.

At this rate UL's defense will get tired while Southern's defense stay as fresh as possible. Exact opposite of the Georgia State game. With depth chart being thin, this has to be a concern.

Lewis keeping Georgia Southern in the game.

He’s been poor in every game this season.

Levi did throw bizzare ints & near ints at times against us too. Is it his short height that prevents him from seeing in the pocket? He seems to be at his best when rolling out of pocket and throwing on the move.

I’ve noticed that he hates to throw to check down routes. Which all three were open on that last pick. LL is an extremely frustrating player to watch. As solid as he can be, he will not be the player to take over a game and win it for you. Not like some other SBC QBs have done for other programs.

Wow. If we forced UL to kick in that OT, we might have gotten away with the game...

Cajuns were going to be up going into half, but a poor throw resulted in an interception. Georgia Southern was going to be tied at half, but they got greedy and threw a poor interception. It was still going to be tied at half, then The Cajuns somehow got a guy open on a deep route with 10 seconds left in the half. Than it was going to be the Cajuns up again, but they still can't kick, so we're tied at half

Understand? Good, explain it to me.

Lewis probably just wasn't expecting a linebacker to get the pick when the receiver had the DB beat.

For sure. What irritates me more than anything is not taking what the defense gives you. He's holding this offense back.

No. He got greedy and refused to throw the ball to the guy standing right in front of him. Horrible decision.

I did see 2 open UL receivers down in the flats before Levi threw deep

RE: Georgia Southern @ Louisiana Game Thread - EightySix - 09-26-2020 12:55 PM

Lewis kills the drive on 3rd down with a poor short throw to a wide open receiver. Typical Levi Lewis.

RE: Georgia Southern @ Louisiana Game Thread - Oldyeller - 09-26-2020 01:09 PM

GS up 10 - 7

RE: Georgia Southern @ Louisiana Game Thread - trueeagle98 - 09-26-2020 01:19 PM

Tie game.
Wish GS could put some pressure on the Cajuns QB

RE: Georgia Southern @ Louisiana Game Thread - balanced_view - 09-26-2020 01:30 PM

finally got a early stop. now its time to try and take over control of the game

RE: Georgia Southern @ Louisiana Game Thread - trueeagle98 - 09-26-2020 01:36 PM

MO is with the Cajuns.
I think they they score on their next 2 drives to win it.

I'm ready to move on from Shai and Bob.
