That girl meant business and did what she had to do.
But you see how it tore her up. She didn't want to have to shoot him.
And that's the way it is for the vast majority of officers. They don't wake up and say, "I wonder if I'll get to shoot somebody today!" Rather, they pray they make it home to their families at the end of their shift.
