Air Force to play Army and Navy this Fall - quo vadis - 09-14-2020 10:57 PM

Despite the MW canceling fall football, Air Force will host Navy on October 3 and travel to Army on November 7.

A two game season.

The Commander in Chief's Trophy is the season.

More evidence that a conference doesn't have to be "all in" or "all out".

There was never a good reason for a conference that decides not to play a conference schedule to dictate to a member school that they can't play OOC games.

There's an excellent reason: plausible deniability for the presidents who don't want football fans to withhold donations or start a campaign to fire the president. "it wasn't just us, our whole conference didn't want to play."

LOL .... but in my book, that's a cynical reason, not a good reason.

04-cheers

Can't decide if I think this helps or hurts AF's chances of beating Army and Navy. On the one hand you only have to game plan for two teams. On the other hand less live reps. Hope they're hitting in practice.

Hurts them in the first game. They don't have real life practice. Probably don't have enough so it hurts them in the second game, although they will be fresher than their opponent.
