Here is some nice video when he was committed to Missouri St. As RHP he throws a 90 fastball and has a curve. Notice he likes to throw on the roll out which means he is mobile in the pocket:

Looks like a good athlete with a gifted right arm. Curious if he'll also play baseball at EMU. I'm sure those football coaches want their quarterbacks in spring practice.

If the dude has a 90 mph fastball, I'm sure that Roof can adjust his pitching rotation around spring practice. Your point Nickle, however, is well taken. Rick Leach at U-M was required by Bo Schembechler to attend spring practice and had to change his gear immediately after to play in a baseball game. I assume Drew Henson did the same.

Leach's pro future was clearly in MLB but his scholarship was for football and when you are the starting QB for Michigan, well... That said, Kyler Murray played both at Oklahoma and actually signed a MLB contract before his Heisman football year. Yeah I think we can make it work.

It would be interesting if he were to come to EMU on a baseball scholarship and free up a football scholie.

I was kind of thinking similar.

He could get a full or fractional base a ball scholarship and play FB. One issue is whether or not C.C. wants a QB playing baseball in spring rather than doing spring ball.

If he is a serious QB contender, better he do spring ball and be a FB scholarship athlete.

Football is allotted 85 scholarships, baseball 11.7.

Football pays the bills and that is why Leach, Henson and Murray went to school on a FB scholarship. They were baseball position players and this guy is a pitcher who throws once a weekend? Let him play spring FB and Roof can figure out when he takes the mound based on his non-football availability.

Very few baseball players a full scholarship. A division 1 team only has 11 scholarships. Most players get a fraction.

Live and learn. It would make more sense, then, to bring him on under a football scholarship. Thanks!

Tiny athletic guy with a big arm. Happy he’s here.

We need all the help we can get in baseball too.

Braxton Burmeister has committed to San Diego State. I thought we still had a chance. I still think we will land someone who is at least decent.

Considering we just got a two QB commits, I think they're done with the QB search.
