OT: Guest mentor opportunity in Rice engineering leadership labs - georgewebb - 08-31-2020 10:40 AM

The Rice Center for Engineering Leadership (http://www.rcelconnect.org) offers a compact but rewarding opportunity for alumni with project management or team leadership experience to work with Rice students in our engineering leadership labs.

As a virtual or in-person “Engineer in the Room”, you’ll observe teams of students as they work through a leadership challenge, then provide coaching and feedback on their performance.

The time commitment is two hours, and there are multiple dates now through November. Apply at https://forms.gle/xQXQpKpZ4X6Dvaap7, or contact George Webb '88, '91 at gwebb@rice.edu with any questions.

Thanks and GO OWLS!

UPDATE:
Thanks to a tremendous response, all the Engineer-in-the-Room slots for fall 2020 have been filled! But a few opportunities may still arise in the event that someone needs to cancel. Looking ahead, if you would like to be at the top of the list for spring 2021, please see the directions on the form:

Meanwhile, one of the RCEL courses (though not on an Engineer-in-the-Room lab date) was paid a visit this week by the Houston Chronicle's education reporter:
