"More from the University of Toledo following a large party that led to multiple student-athletes being quarantined. "

27 total students currently, more contact tracing underway, expect number of known COVID-19 cases to continue to rise from these events

Good luck with that

Yet how many parents and students (including those partying off campus) insisted even demanded that campus open and students be allowed in dorms and in classes?

And yet some folks wonder why fall athletics have been cancelled/postponed?!?! #wearadamnmask #keepyourdistance

They're getting off easy that the behavior wasn't included in the student code of contact (or was it?) and they weren't given suspensions.

Question: Are any football players among those athletes? If so, would they be at off campus parties if the season hadn't been cancelled? I would assume
a controlled environment if the season progressed.

I would not assume a coach can control an athlete 27/7 including even under current covid-19 concerns.

27 cases? pffft. Alabama just announced they have 531 cases. Clearly the MAC just can't compete with the P5 conferences.

RE: University of Toledo asks students who attended recent events to quarantine - PaulJ - 08-25-2020 12:48 PM

64 cases and rising......

RE: University of Toledo asks students who attended recent events to quarantine - eastisbest - 08-25-2020 02:21 PM

Well, it ain't going down anywhere in the near term so you can save a few key types.

We hear 64 cases but we don't hear 64 really sick people or 64 tested positive or any details that actually matter. This isn't going to decrease until those still in denial SEE the sick. More will actually have to feel the pain I keep hearing it brings and hope talk of this stuff doing a slow long term number on you turns out false.

Only data we have right now is # of positive cases, but that alone is valuable in re-enforcing that the virus is present on campus and need for all the precautions so it does not spread.

the will is lacking, plus self interest in controlling access to the data....

Is politely asking students to do what they already refused to do going to make a good bandage?

UT is beyond "politely asking" at this point

It's all about customer service, if you aren't polite they may transfer to Lourdes.
