#WeWantToPlay is beginning to grow - CardinalBlackTrojan - 08-10-2020 01:53 PM

Some of the biggest voices in college football are making a stand against the college football shutdown.

From Trevor Lawrence, to Justin Fields, to head coaches, to AD's, to Senators, and even the POTUS.

I thought this was a good idea until you said the cheerleader in the white house chimed in. Now I know it's a lie.

As sad as it is, there will be some that will genuinely think this.

That the cheerleader is a liar or it's a good idea.

That the cheerleader is a liar or it's a good idea.

That if POTUS supports it, it's now a lie and/or bad decision.

Ah...I was kidding about that part....sort of. Speaks of the confidence he inspires.

Anyone else notice that they want to create a College Football Players' Association and leave out representation from 3/4 of Division I football teams?

AState has supported the movement as well

Watching extremely anti-union people get whiplash from the #WeWantToPlay group. It's damn funny to watch them pretzel up their opinions

You can be anti-union and work with employees for the better of the organization. This isn't 1915.

It's damn funny to watch people that say "why don't the players get a say" suddenly not care about what the players say.

It's growing every hour. Supposedly some of the most popular CFB athletes had a conference call yesterday and put all of this together, and now other players are joining in. The coaches are starting to join in now on behalf of their teams.

Even Nebraska is considering going independent this season to play football if the Big 10 pulls the plug. This trend is only going to keep growing. The players that don't want to play shouldn't force the huge number of players that want to play to accept their opinions.

According to Scott Satterfield, the ACC is going to proceed forward and play football, despite what any other conferences decide. Satterfield said all of the ACC presidents are united on having a football season this fall.

Now the AD's of Alabama, Texas A&M, Nebraska, Arkansas, and Auburn, are coming out strongly against their conferences shutting down football this fall.

The interesting thing will be what Nebraska does if the Big 10 cancels. They seem pretty serious about doing their own thing, no matter what the Big 10 decides.

We have 2 openings. Bring Nebraska to Statesboro— hell yeah. Add them to the Belt for a year

The momentum may be enough to save the season, though it will be strange without the Big 10 and PAC 12

It won't affect us at all. We had already lost Michigan.

Basically, there's 2 options, here:

Once choice involves college football players and the people they live with being tested frequently and them spending less time on their campus and around town.

The other involves them getting tested sparing if it all and them spending more time on campus and around time.

Which one keeps player and their families safer? It's not a trick question.

Mountain West has cancelled which is not surprising
