Texas Tech & NMSU - Hilldog - 08-09-2020 07:55 PM

So, the firing of Texas Tech's WBB HC, brought up former NMSU WBB HC, Nikita Lowry-Dawkins. She was fired at NMSU for abusive behavior, and proving you can't teach old dogs new tricks, she was fired at Texas Tech, for abusive behavior!!

Anybody remember the stories of Lowry-Dawkins at NMSU?

Mike Leach, one of the finest football coaches in all the land, was fired for "abusive behavior". Sometimes, and perhaps alot of times, this "abusive" stuff is political in nature and geared toward regime change, or an easy out for a bloated, poorly negotiated contract. An old school, tough, and hard-nosed coach demanding accountability from his/her players can be an easy target in these situations. Having played in the pre-snowflake era we are operating in today, I tend to support the coach, until proven guilty, beyond the shadow of doubt. Most coaches get in the biz to help kids, definitely not for the money, so its important to keep an open mind.
