I think that is the basic position of almost everyone who is against this Marxist garbage.

99% of black lives are taken by another black or an abortion clinic. The woke BLM movement does not care about the 99% of black lives on any level.

They are liars and anarchists with an obviously destructive political agenda, and people like LeBron James are some of their strongest supporters and spokesmen.

^Yes. Black lives matter. Every life born and unborn matters.

Black Lives Matter doesn't care about ALL Black Lives — they only protest/riot over the ones that fit their narrative and their end goal to fundamentally transform the US to Socialism/Communism.

LeBron probably hasn't spent any time reading their website and propaganda. If he did he wouldn't support them as he wouldn't have the $ he enjoys if they had their way.

I'm not remotely out of line.

I'm neither a perfect Christian or being a bad one. And we both know its not something you know much about anyway.

Righteous indignation is not a sin.

Agreed, +3

LeBron is an incredibly savvy and intelligent person. He knows what these groups are about and he knows exactly what he is doing. He sits on one of L.A's highest seats of power and influence. He's not blindly or ignorantly stumbling into this.

Righteous indignation is not a sin.

It says very clearly to use your words to heal.

What is there to be righteously indignant about? Are you saying that what they believe they're doing goes against the Bible? Maybe they view it as right in line with it? Who makes you the arbiter of what makes someone a scumbag? Certainly not your Bible.

It's not as if the NBA is something anyone has to watch or that sets some kind of moral policy for anyone.

I'd say you should question what you have a right to be "righteous" about.

Then - just turn the TV off.

Don't you have some stargazing to be doing? It IS the end of times and all. And you're watching the NBA?

If you are going to get triggered into this level of trolling maybe you should just not click on my posts.

I stand fully behind everything I posted in this thread. You are one of the last people on earth who should be telling Christians what the Bible says or what a Christian is.

Nor is LeBron's blatant hypocrisy on China, free speech and BLM remotely defensible. Nor do I have to be a perfect human being to call out that hypocrisy, nor did I ever claim to be one.

Nor do I have to justify myself to you to talk about or be critical about anything I choose to talk about or be critical about here. If that is a problem for you then practice what you preach and don't click on the thread. No one is forcing you to read my posts.

I swore off the NBA for a reason. Haven't watched a second of it because I knew everything said by the OP would be the case

The thing is the league will probably not lose viewers, because the same audience that has been watching will continue fo do so and the ones that have not will continue to not watch.

If you had asked me last week I would have said the same thing. I'm not so sure after what I saw the last 2 days.

Lets not kid ourselves, their TV audience is not just young urban black males, its a lot bigger than just that. There is no way they are not going to alienate or just flat turn off some viewers. I usually watch the conf championships and finals, but I won't be if this is what they are going to do. There is no way I can sit through that.

Let me rephrase, when i mean young urban males I did not mean just black. I mean 18-34 year old whites (many of whom grew up in the suburbs) who moved into the city and/or its neighborhoods after college.

The average age for the NBA viewer is 42. They'd be in financial trouble if their whole audience was urban millenials. There aren't that many.

College football at 52 and the NFL at 50 are the ones really playing with fire.

I never cared for the product they put on the floor. Now my political and social beliefs align perfectly with my sports entertainment preferences.

Cool story.

We'll just have to agree to disagree.

I don't like saying this, but is that hypocritical scumbag speak for "I'm taking my ball and going home"?

I posted once showing how you weren't being a good Christian. You then fired off three posts defending yourself.

And I'm triggered?

Is calling me triggered hypocritical scumbag speak for "I can't defend myself"?

If you will just find a room and let yourself have a good long cry, you may feel better afterwards.

Grizz vs Portland was a fun game to watch that ended in OT...It's a lot better than nothing.

Lol nah you've done plenty of crying in here for the both of us.

RE: NBA's return - THE NC Herd Fan - 08-01-2020 12:06 PM

Why would you watch that garbage?

RE: NBA's return - TheDancinMonarch - 08-01-2020 12:42 PM

Oh yes. The NBA. I remember them well. 7' guys dunking the ball. Quite a skill there. Guys who should know better taking 30' shots, some of which actually go in. Limited passing. Virtually no defense. I gave this mess up 25 years ago and their new political reincarnation does not enhance the picture.

Christianity and Marxism don’t go together. What a change now that we comment on those who do not kneel.
