Fun (never-ending) off-season reading: Interesting national title claims - fade2blac - 06-29-2020 09:57 AM The most absurd and controversial national title claims in college football history -- https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/29324272/the-most-absurd-controversial-national-title-claims-college-football-history RE: Fun (never-ending) off-season reading: Interesting national title claims - invisiblehand - 06-29-2020 11:55 AM I for one, am claiming the 1916, 1919, and 1920, and 1922 National Titles in the name of The University of Tulsa. All seasons we finished undefeated. We did finish with a tie in 1919 and 1920 though. But 1916 we won 10 games and beat OU and OSU. 1919 We won @OU, @Ark, and Tied @OSU. In 1920 we averaged an astounding 56 points a game and that's with a 0-0 tie somehow thrown in there. In 22 we finished undefeated with wins against Texas A&M, TCU, and Arkansas with a "mutually agreed no to play the game" against OSU. Puts us in a tie with GT, Washington, Cal, Iowa, and Texas for 4 claimed NT's. Suck on that P5's! |
