RE: The French surrender again - georgia_tech_swagger - 06-16-2020 05:00 PM Apparently the walls were designed by Thomas Jefferson so that you didn't have to see the slaves. The handle on the sabre was patterned after the serpentine walls. So now it's just a regular handle. Non-Virginia fans probably won't even notice the difference in the logo. The "new for 2020" logos stunk. The "new new" logos stink a little less. UVa belongs in the Pac-12. RE: The French surrender again - esayem - 06-17-2020 07:58 AM Still looking for his friend, the Tampa Bay Buccaneer. Gavin?!? RE: The French surrender again - esayem - 06-17-2020 07:59 AM Their logo didn't look any different to me other than the computerized shading on the V. Was that really the "update"? Yes. The entire change is the handle of the sabre. The old logo has a wavy handle matching the serpentine walls on campus. Ah, I had to look it up. I didn't even know they updated it a couple months ago. RE: The French surrender again - Bear Catlett - 06-17-2020 12:45 PM It's about time. I have long been offended by those serpentine designs on the handles of those sabers. I would expect SEC schools to fight math & science since those things could stand in the way of recruiting. |
