Football Magazines are Starting - Texasowl - 06-06-2020 10:00 AM
Three football magazines has us with 3 to 5 wins but no bowl this year. Athlon has as 5-7 and 4-4 in Conf USA with projected wins over Middle Tenn., North Texas, UTSA, and UTEP. These sports magazines are pretty worthless these days with all the transfer possibilities but always fun to read.

That's discouraging to hear that they don't even have us winning six games.

Athlon Magazine's preseason all-conference team was announced.
Blaze Alldredge was the only 1st team Owl
No Owls made the 2nd team
Brad Rozner was 3rd team WR
Austin Trammell was 3rd team as a punt returner and 4th team at WR
Shea Baker was 4th team at OL
Elijah Garcia (DL) and George Nyakwol (DB) also made the 4th team unit
Rozner (3rd in the league in TD's in conference games only) and a couple of missing guys on defense got robbed IMO

When you're 5-20 over the last two years, you're not going to put people on preseason all-conference teams.
You want all-conference players? Win 6, 7, or 8 or more, and you will find people getting the recognition they deserve.
