ESPN Throwback Thursday Game: 2016 Ohio State/Michigan - Hokie Mark - 04-30-2020 08:38 AM

From ESPN, Throwback Thursday: CFB Classics – Encore Presentation of 2016 No. 3 Michigan at No. 2 Ohio State Airs This Week

Quote:ESPN will air the 2016 rendition of Michigan-Ohio State, when both teams were ranked in the top 3, on Thursday, April 30 (7 p.m. ET), in the network’s latest installment of Throwback Thursday: CFB Classics. The Wolverines-Buckeyes encore presentation will be four hours, as the mega-tilt was filled with dramatic, highly debated plays and moments, taking two overtimes to decide a winner.

A rerun, but could still be the best thing on?

Ohio State beating TTUN is always the best thing on.

I think you might be *slightly* biased in that opinion. Having said that, it probably is a fun game to rewatch.

I always thought it was TSUN... What does the 2nd T stand for?

That team up north

I'm a fan of the game. Thanks to OSU, Penn State made the conference championship game and beat Wisconsin. Unfortunately, that game also kept Penn State from making the playoffs. Still upset about the team being left out despite beating OSU earlier in the season.

Yes, just slightly.

You guys realize the Buckeyes didn't really make the line on that 4th down though, right?

Some interesting info about the officiating of this game.

The Back Judge for this game is a resident here in Athens, Ohio. He and his father own a drive-thru down on Richland Ave. near Ohio University campus. I talk to him often at his buisness when I visit. He does BIG games obviously and his father (retired) was a MAC official.

There is an unwritten rule that no officials from Michigan and Ohio are to do "The Game". Needless to say, those people up north wanted to hang this man, lol!

Personally, I believe he officiated this game absolutely beautifully!!!

I love all the stories like this that happen during the week for this game.

Here's another dose of harsh reality if you prefer maize and blue over scarlet and grey...

And I spontaneously threw up in my mouth from reading "if you prefer maize and blue over scarlet and grey."

That is just a horrible thing to say, Hokie Mark.

When you all going to add to that 2021 recruiting class? You have a hell of a QB committed in Davis plus a nice receiver to go with him. I want to post some new recruits in my 2021 recruiting thread for VT, just waiting on you all!

I wish I knew! I'm hoping my team can make it a little easier for your team by beating Penn State more often in recruiting battles! Those guys are getting on my nerves!

VT needs to focus on beating Georgia and Clemson out on those top 2 recruits in Virginia. Keeps those boys home, right where they belong! Though, Ohio State did steal one from you, I'm ok with that, lol.

We all know Virginia is just extended Pennsylvania. Same with Maryland but that's where we keep our drivers who don't know how to drive.

We keep our horrible drivers over in Indiana.
