Athlete D.J. Stepney (6-0, 180, 4.45) of Macomb (Mich.)
Dakota High School announced his commitment to Central Michigan this evening, via Twitter.
A consensus 3-star recruit rated among the top 25 prospects in the state of Michigan's 2021 class, Stepney chose the Chippewas over 17 other reported offers, including Indiana, Iowa State, Boston College, Syracuse, Cincinnati, Temple, Akron, Ball State, Bowling Green, Buffalo, Kent State, Miami, Toledo, Eastern Michigan and Western Michigan.
He becomes the third member of CMU's 2021 recruiting class.
