Yes. I despise Troy and want to see us pummel them. They’re up there with La Tech in terms of who I hate most.

I don’t have a problem playing them. Before the Return, they were a decent draw. I do agree that they rank up there with LaTech as one of those teams that you can’t beat bad enough. Neither, in my opinion reaches the level of Southern Miss.

It would be awesome if we grew so much that we could just cancel this game and cut them a check by 2028.
Really slap them down that they are not worth playing because we moved up to AAC or another higher conference affiliation.

A few years ago, I’d have hated this, but they’ve been a good team the past few years. Definitely better than any of the other H&H teams we’ve played since the return, outside of Tulane.

I'm a fan of easy away game travel and could make it a long weekend in ATL. Plus it'll be cool to be back at Turner Field.
I do wonder how these two series impact the scheduling strategy in 2028 and 2029. If we play an FCS team in 2028, we could have 7 home games that year. Has that ever happened? Then in 2029 with Ga St and Troy both away, we would either drop to 5 home games or not play a buy game.

Now I get the "might as well be playing in the sunbelt" joke. but Clark said he wants to play a manageable schedule and not body-bag games. Peers or games with teams on our level or winnable games. Dont know how hard it is to get lower level power conferences to do a home and home.

Wish we played the service academies every now and then in football and basketball. Having Army in CUSA was nice.
