Nice Coaching Search WMU.

This will change the college landscape especially at the MAC and lower levels.. Madonna attempted to start football will they even play in the future???
What about Coaching salaries especially for assistants at our level. Probably regress...
and while we all talk about our basketball team we forget our baseball team was ......

Our baseball team was 1 - 0 and then 0 - the rest of the season.

Least wins in EMU history (with an asterisk).

Congrats!
Since EMU was founded as Michigan State Normal
and before MSU's inception, wouldn't that make the
Spartans Michigan State Abnormal?

I concur with that logic.

As seemingly expected, Spring athletes get another year of eligibility, Winter does not

I think the decision was as equitable as possible. Reasonably financially innocuous as well, not a whole of scholarship exposure in spring sports.

I agree.

All schools completed their regular seasons. Many had also been eliminated from their conference tourneys.

P.S. I'm shocked (in a good way) how the NBA, etc. moved so quickly to shut down the season. As soon as they saw 'community transmission' they moved quickly.

I would think that in light of the concussion issue in the NFL and the potential legal liability that is causing, all sports are probably hyper-sensitive about player welfare issues. Legal liability is a huge motivator, more so even than actual concern for the players themselves.

Yes, and because of 'community transmission' everyone is afraid of legal liability for negligence.

Think what would happen if 100 ticket holders tested + after attending a game???

Because of the shutdown in sports EMU's own Ryan Wooley lost his job.

Well Pac 10 sure is much better then the MAC! Arizona, Oregon, UCLA is completely different level of competition!

Oregon yes. Arizona, UCLA, most of the PAC 10 trending down quickly. If we can play with Pitt, we can surely give Arizona & UCLA a run for their money.
