You can tell he's passionate about the job, wants to win big, and has high expectations. On scheduling he said he'd use his contacts, but it doesn't automatically mean he'll get teams to come to Bartow. Said he wants to play anybody anywhere "especially as we get this thing going", but he's inherited part of next year's schedule already. He wants to resume the Auburn series and thinks Pearl understands it's good for the state.
On recruiting - When asked if he looks for someone with cockiness/swagger who may be similar to how he was as a player he said absolutely. Said it's always easier to throttle someone down than to motivate someone who doesn't have the passion.

One of the things I have found over time is that if you have those in the media loving a coach (like they have done for coaches of other schools) they are less likely to be critical when it is needed.

If a UAB coach ever gets to a point where he is taking away from those other 2 programs they will turn on him.
