At this point I’m not expecting the football season to happen.

Really?

I'm think by August things will be back to normal.

The good news is that, IF TRUE, China has 'turned the corner' and coronavirus might be almost history there in a few months.

Each country has their own 'curve' and some like U.S. are still on a positive slope.

As everyone is saying, we are so far behind on testing and so few have been tested, that as we ramp up testing we will be finding 'old' cases, not necessarily new cases.

And the good news is that those who have and conquer coronavirus they apparently develop resistance to re-infection. Hopefully that will be helpful if Coronavirus comes back next winter.

EDIT:

If this is a March Monday, Coronavirus is all we have to muse about, BUT I believe I've heard on CNBC that new cases in Italy may have crested (actually declined a couple days in a row). IF SO, the epidemic might seem to 'run its course' within a certain amount of time (whatever that is) after the slope of the curve has bent downward.

The hope, of course, is that the U.S. will soon peak and maybe new cases begin to decline. Once the curve begins to slope downward, I think folks can begin to make projections for fall (e.g. CFB, NFL, etc.).

I haven’t looked into Italy, so hopefully there is accuracy in the reports of cresting. I don’t believe anything that comes out of China, regardless of topic.

My thought is that the virus will mutate and cause further issues this summer. And some sports organization is going to have to be the canary in the coal mine after the apocalypse. I don’t thing it will be college football, since we are loathe to put amateurs at risk.
