Most underrated player in program history? - ODUCoach - 03-22-2020 11:22 AM Who you got? I’ve followed the program for 15 years, and one name that comes to mind is Darius James. RE: Most underrated player in program history? - AdoptedMonarch - 03-22-2020 11:40 AM Marsharee Neely. RE: Most underrated player in program history? - ODUDon - 03-22-2020 11:44 AM Darrin McDonald played ‘86 - ‘90 (I know I’m old) was slashing guard who could also shoot from the outside. He won a few games with buzzer beaters too. RE: Most underrated player in program history? - bench jockey - 03-22-2020 11:45 AM (03-22-2020 11:40 AM)AdoptedMonarch Wrote: Marsharee Neely. BS RE: Most underrated player in program history? - bench jockey - 03-22-2020 11:47 AM Grant Robinson, Steve Trax RE: Most underrated player in program history? - Prideofalion - 03-22-2020 11:57 AM Mike Byers comes to mind. Great ball handler. Solid playmaker. Played on really talented teams that lacked point guard play. He had to play point out of necessity but was a damn good player. Quick hands, Ton of steals. Loved watching him. RE: Most underrated player in program history? - The Doctor Is In - 03-22-2020 12:42 PM I’ll go with Darius James. He did what a good point guard is supposed to do...he made the players around him better. He was also a good enough shooter that defenses had to guard him. RE: Most underrated player in program history? - elon77 - 03-22-2020 01:57 PM I'm old, David Harvey. Hodge went down with a knee and Harvey took his place. Was sort of like Carver, but a little bigger. Fit perfect on that team. RE: Most underrated player in program history? - JJMonarch - 03-22-2020 03:59 PM Brian Dunlap. We went to NCAA 3 out of his 4 years. I believe he started for 4 years but only going by memory there, so I could be mistaken. A winner , plain and simple. RE: Most underrated player in program history? - VB Monarch - 03-22-2020 04:52 PM Dunlap was a very, very guard. Made everyone better. Could not shoot a lick. RE: Most underrated player in program history? - DaBigBlue - 03-22-2020 04:58 PM Ross the Boss. Best athlete to ever wear an ODU uni. Was a total leader in the locker room. RE: Most underrated player in program history? - Mr.BigBlue - 03-22-2020 05:27 PM 2 come to mind. 1 changed the game every time he came in and you could feel it....Brandon Johnson. The other was a spark and really made others better because of this threat shooting and off the dribble.....Isaiah Hunter. I am with Brandon Johnson. He picked more pockets than anyone. No one could bring the ball up the court with him in their face. RE: Most underrated player in program history? - Razor Ramon Monarch - 03-22-2020 09:11 PM Keyon Clark as a 6”8 stretch 4 who could shoot 3’s and was a key cog on our NCAA tourney game winning team.
