Yeah, didn't they announce testing would be free. On the news last night a doctor out in Arlington was testing for $120 a pop plus charging your insurance?

Private companies are still gonna charge a fee. Just like if you decide to go get bloodwork done on your own. The government testing or through hospitals was supposed to be free but I don’t know if that’s even in our area yet unless you get admitted somewhere

Nothing is free. Unless the tests are donated, and the people are volunteers, and the tent was found on the side of the road.

Somebody pays.

You are absolutely right.

But if you want everyone to be responsible it cannot have a cost to the end user.

So the Gov. would pick up the tab to encourage people to get tested.

That $1000 check that is being mailed out aint free money either...But that is another conversation.

National Guard just flew in 500,000 test swabs from Italy to Tennessee.

Bridge the sarchasm.

Testing doesn't need to be encouraged. It's not for everyone just to ease your mind. It's for sick people. To hit the drive-thru you have to have a doctor referral. Almost certain to bill your insurance - haven't heard if they charge a co-pay on-site.

Now let's see how those tents fare with the storms moving through tonight...

Good.

Team, take this very seriously. We're probably a week in front of you. And the news here is... not good.

RE: Tigerlane Testing center - ImaTiger - 03-20-2020 06:05 AM

Everyone who is concerned should go get tested... if you feel bad but don't have a fever stay at home.

Thanks to the hard working god fearing people who work hard and pay taxes so that we can have this test center. This is example of hard earned money, that is taxed fairly and spent wisely.

I would put the cost of the testing station at around $30 million dollars to run for a week (round numbers, I assume of the 500,000 test kits Memphis will get 125,000 @ $135ea, plane fuel to fly them here + staff of 20@ $40Per Hour for 12 hours a day + equipment rental + security).

No, everyone just "concerned" should not get tested. That is not the guidance, nor is it practical. Testing is to be referred by a doctor for people exhibiting symptoms for more than 24 hours.

And I don't think we're getting 125k test kits - at least not initially.

Correct

The drive up testing Baptist is setting up across the organization is not for any joe who drives up. You are required to call and be screened over the phone first, then if you meet the CDC criteria you will be scheduled for the drive up testing. DO NOT JUST SHOW UP... PERIOD.

Use this site for more resources and correct information. There is a 24/7 hotline set up as well for people who have concerns or questions.
