Maybe they should hang a banner:

"2020 Men's Hypothetical National Champion"

With all the uproar regarding UCF Football claiming a share of the 2017 National Title based on reputable services naming them National Champions, I find it very hypocritical that the State Senate found the time to pass this legislature in the midst of the GLOBAL health crisis we all face.

... and that ESPiN embraces this notion... I would think that Gonzaga and/or Dayton would be the only 2 legitimate Institution to make such a claim.

Perhaps every conference champion should claim a National Title for this year.

it's a way to throw shade on UCF's claim. the big difference is that college basketball already has a playoff (like all the other non-FBS football sports) to determine the one official NCAA champion. FBS doesn't have one way, the NCAA recognizes multiple official selectors.

Agree that it is a "swipe" at UCF...

That's why I say all Conference champions should claim a National Championship as well.

Congratulations to FSU MBB and their undefeated season, they definitely earned the right to claim a Natty.

Wait, what?

Who cares. I doubt even FSU fans care about MBB compared to CFB. I grew up in Florida and know that BB is not that big of a deal in the state. Lets see what happens in FB season, if it is not cancelled too.

My first thought when I saw the thread was, "wait, they weren't even #1 in any of the polls, and the ACC wasn't even close to the best conference this year. How can they claim they were the best team?"

Don't have Twitter or anything so no idea if there's been public backlash. But holy **** anyone who had a problem with UCF claiming one when they were denied a shot to compete should be having a field day with this nonsense.
