Not too shabby for the new coach. Kind of anti-climactic way of doing it, but I will take it. Lets take care of business in Ft Worth.

I don't mind seeing Houston, Tulsa and Memphis all in the other half of the bracket.

We'll take it. Didn't think we'd get there after Tulane loss. Didn't expect Houston to lose 5 times.

Looks like we'll be playing the winner of USF-UCF on Friday. We owe the Knights one and despite coming back to beat USF, still did not play well in the first half.

If we get past the 1st match, I am nervous about trying to be WSU 3x this year. The Shockers will also travel well to Dallas, and probably have more fans there than any team in the tourney, (including SMU and Houston)

Conference title number 29. I have been begging for UC to acknowledge this every time they win one. There are only a handful of schools that have more than this.

I realize fandom is emotional almost by definition but reading some of the game threads there is no way that I would have concluded that this team was conference champion caliber. Credit to Coach Brannen, Jarron, and Tre.

Shockers will get UM first, no guarantee to win that game...04-cheers

I am not sure if I have seen a crazier regular season. I believe 12 games decided in overtime or in last minute.

I don’t believe this team has superior talent, superior coaching, or anything else going for it except for its ability to never quit. In some ways I will take quality over everything else.

They actually get UConn I believe.

Who do we play first?

Wichita is probably not beating Memphis. Both can play good D but Memphis’ meh offense is better than Wichita’s meh offense.

I've heard that UConn is actually the #5, opposite Wichita.

Poor Memphis wants all the smoke but they are going the wrong way when it comes to AAC seeding.

The first two years of the Metro, there wasn't time to get full regular season schedules set up. Tournament champions (UC both years) were the official league champs.

What a strange season it has been. But still -I'll take it!
