When my boys started playing hockey, Bernie was their first coach along with Steve Doherty who, at the time, worked for the K-Wings. Both their sons also played on the team. Talk about a great intro to hockey for my boys. Two very good coaches who emphasized having fun while learning the fundamentals of the game.
At Christmas time, Brother John was visiting Bernie and family and came to a practice and skated with the boys.....another thrill.. for the boys and parents.
