3-2 Miami after the first period.

3-3 after 2, ND got a 5 on 3 goal to tie it up.

North Dakota got a goal with 4 minutes to go to go up 4-3. With 2 minutes to go Miami got a power play goal to tie it. In sudden death OT, no one scored so the game is officially a tie game and both teams get one point in the league standings.

For league games the NCHC has a 5 minute sudden death 3 on 3 DOT session for a third point. Miami got a penalty and then the rules gave ND a 4 on 3 advantage, but they did not score. So finally they go to a sudden death shootout and ND won that in the second round, so in the league standings they get 2 points and Miami 1.

You should see about scheduling UMass. Doesn't look likely we will join the MAC all sports but.

Think getting UMass fans familiar with MAC, especially MAC East teams and Toledo would be good. We should schedule a few MAC teams in all sports possible. That includes non MAC Sports and guess in that vein, West MAC teams as Western Michigan Hockey etc as well.

Congrats on that UMass Hockey title!

Reply thanks, but it's more about getting familiar with MAC teams, because we need it as a fan base. Going forward we are playing 2 MAC teams this year and 3-5 teams in 2022-2026 in football, but only the Zips in BB. Looking forward to seeing Toledo and Eastern Michigan this fall and the Zips later on in basketball.

I would generally be all in favor of seeing Redhawks hockey playing the defending national champion, but after finishing one game out of the cellar in the NCHC, I would also have a bit of trepidation for the 21/22 season.

And in the MAC sports, I would LOVE for the Golden Flashes to be playing UMass in Football ... because it would imply that we took a step down from three body bag games to only two.

Surprised you did not mention basketball, but understand everyone needs to do what is best. As football goes, think we should starting to improve and should have high 70's scholarship players or about 20 more players than two years ago. Obviously very young and did pickup 9 transfers including a QB!. How much is TBD but we'll see. Good luck in your future season as most of spring sports are almost complete. Besides women's and men's bb, like to see soccer, and a little hockey (not a MAC sport). We seem to be scheduling a good amount of football and happy about that. Hope everything goes well and can make the Glass Bowl in 2022.

I'd be happy to see the Golden Flashes schedule UMass in basketball ... but seeing the Golden Flashes scheduling any G5 schools in football would be a great change from the current three body bag games plus an FCS buy game.

Totally agree. One or two body bag games is enough to add some revenue to the AD Department with COVID reducing all revenue and there is a need to recover that money. We need an extra game to offset no conference revenue and then another for CFP payout money. In a perfect world and you having those things it, would be nice to average less than one game a year. Seems out of balance for the Golden Flashers to average 2 to 3 of those games per season.
