In those days, the goal post really was like having an extra defender in the red zone.

NFL moved them back in the 70s. College football many decades ago.

I wish. Maybe when they expand the CFP to 8, making the pedantic 'football laces = playoff spots' logo obsolete.

The crystal ball never went away - they've been giving it to the winner every year. It's now known as the Coaches Trophy and it's sponsored by AFCA.
