It looks like Evan Gillyard (UTEP) is now eligible and will play tonight for New Mexico State.

If this is what Mario is pushing as this HUGE news than what a waste of energy. NMSU had some good football recruits come in today and I'd hype that up more than Gillyard playing b/c NMSU basketball is already king at the school.

It's Harris getting his stitches out.

Bro, this is huge news! Gilyard is legit, the Aggies are down this year and still no definitive date on when AJ and Clayton will be cleared. Plus, no one even knew this was in the works or a possibility this year. We are a basketball school. Everything revolves around basketball at NMSU.

3-0 day for the WAC!

RE: WAC Basketball week 7 - FINALFOUR1970SWEETSIXTEEN1992 - 12-19-2019 03:17 PM

I remember seeing Gilyard as a freshman at UTEP and wishing he was on our team. AJ Harris also just got cleared and Clayton is a few days behind him so NMSU should be rolling into conference play.

I thought the same thing when I saw Gilyard play. I was thinking why can’t we get a PG like that, then Boom, we did. It’s going to be exciting to see him and AJ play together.

It's going to be exciting. Hopefully see them on the court together at times.

May not get to say this many more times this season but... big blowout win for GCU! Not even close!

WAC Basketball week 7 - chrisattsu - 12-21-2019 10:53 PM

Tarleton finally gets a conference win!
94-91 win over A&M Commerce.

Former NMSU player Wayne Stewart put up 25 points for Commerce in the loss to Tarleton State. Stewart redshirted his first season at NMSU then transferred out before he could player here.

Seattle with the bad loss tonight to Florida A&M.

RE: WAC Basketball week 7 - NeptunianEmp - 12-22-2019 05:45 PM

NMSU with a quality win over Mississippi State. We nearly choked again after being up by 14, but we kept it together this time.

RE: WAC Basketball week 7 - NMSUPistolPete - 12-22-2019 06:38 PM

We had the guards (leadership) this time to close out the game. Gilyard and Harris make a big difference. And, Rice is maturing before our eyes.

I was watching the game feed and UMKC almost blew the lead. Damn good win.
