***Football Recruiting Thread*** - BraveKnight - 12-15-2019 05:15 PM

Don't want to go all the way back and find the old one, so I'll just start a new one.

UCF gets a commit from a 6'10 OT from Germany. Had offers from Florida State, Minnesota, Arizona State.

Early signing day is in a few days, how is your team's class looking? Who are your top targets?

If you like, you can go here https://247sports.com/college/cincinnati/Season/2020-Football/Commits/ and see the conference best class.

Is your class all wrapped up or are you going to add more players?

add. We still have a secret wr commit and a qb at the very least unaccounted.

RE: Football Recruiting Thread - BraveKnight - 12-15-2019 11:34 PM

USF's class has fallen apart, currently ranked #98, I wonder how well the new coach will be able to salvage it.

RE: Football Recruiting Thread - oliveandblue - 12-15-2019 11:51 PM

Tulane has had their class slip from 48ish to 59. The average per player has held up, but key depth guys left.

My guess is we'll sit around 60s at the end. There is a lot of depth still left and we already had one of the good QBs decide to enroll early. This is all a result of aggressively going for decent players. It's a good problem to have.

nice plug.

So far Houston's strength has been in their transfers every year.
we have had some of the best in their positions.
one player i look forward to in 2 years is the QB Sofian Massoud. if you do a youtube of him you can feel the passion he has for the sport.

Nice class! Love that they are all 4 year guys and multiple local. Good job.

What QB? We are most likely adding DL, WR, and DB to end the class. We are getting a 2021 QB commit today most likely

RE: Football Recruiting Thread - DownEastPirate - 12-16-2019 09:44 AM

Houston is putting together a nice class for ECU. Some of it is attributed to the # of recruits we've got committed but the class is currently ranked 57th nationally and 2nd in the AAC. It appears we're addressing the issues on the DL & OL but unfortunately next year may not show it in the win total, this is proving to be a bear of a rebuild.

I expect the ranking to fall some as people finalize their classes but they've done a phenomenal job recruiting a good caliber of players considering our program is 18-42 in the last 5 years.

RE: Football Recruiting Thread - CoastalJuan - 12-16-2019 11:36 AM

I'm fairly happy with our class so far, but won't be surprised if we're sitting in the 70's when the dust settles.

I keep offering to send hoes over to these recruit's houses, but coach Houston wants "character" guys.

Since this is a conference board, what should we be averaging, 60s?

Average last year was 87.5 with UConn, 84.8 without. If we can get into the 70's this year, it would be a decent improvement.

Eh, I wouldnt say its fallen apart. We lost 2 players and we gained 2, but they wont count since they are transfer players. Anytime you can pick up former Oregon and USC players, its not a bad thing.

We are expecting to sign a small class and hit the transfer portal hard. I expect because of this our class will be small, and therefore lower ranked. Rumor has it we may get up to 15 players from transfer.

15 transfers? Good Lord. I also heard Jeff Scott isn't retaining any of Strong's staff, do you think that's going to impact your class too?

Good news is that they will not have to search far. UConn has like 19-21 players that are hitting the transfer portal so you can snag a good deal.

Imma go ahead and call "NOT IT" on adopting UConn's roster. I'll gladly let USF be the new UConn.

Ucf lost Wright over weekend. Now needs a QB recruit
