Because that's not how this works, it's never been how this works. He's the accused. He has to do NOTHING to prove himself innocent. It's on the accusers to prove him guilty which so far they have failed to do.

This isn’t a legal trial... its a political trial.
And while Trump knows he has a stacked jury in the Senate, it appears maintaining that stacked jury is his only strategy. If they expectedly clear him, he still has to lead a country where 50% of the country believes he should be convicted in the Senate. So, if you know these charges are bogus, and you know there are 3-4 witnesses who could completely exonerate you, then why are you exerting executive privilege and denying them the ability to do so?

If you want Trump to put all of his cards on the table, then you should ask that of ALL of them....

1. IF Schiff had the goods, they would've impeached a month ago, but Schiff and crew are fishing hoping something surfaces. Currently there's nothing and the testimonies from the last two weeks have blown up in their faces.
2. Nadler now wants to jump in and get him a piece, but like all kangaroo courts they want to do it on their terms so they set the hearings up for when Trump is out of the country at NATO conferences that were set up A YEAR AGO. But you don't find that odd.
3. Everything is pointing that Biden is corrupt, but nobody is focusing on that, you're focusing on Trump which goes and proves the point that the Dems are team over country.
