Sims has really been a consistent bright spot on this team. Well deserved.

Pretty crazy that he's averaging 15.1 ppg (currently 10th in the CAA) despite averaging just 28.2 minutes per contest.

For context, 7 of the top 9 scorers in the league are averaging at least 31.8 minutes per game, with the top 3 exceeding 35 minutes.

Also, among players in the league that have attempted 40 or more threes, only Nate Darling of Delaware (.491) is hitting them at a better rate than Sims (.475).

Sims and Boggs should be getting the lion’s share of the minutes. That’s for sure.

A ways to go? Second to Sims he’s about the most productive guy on the team.

You have got to be kidding? He shoots better from two than anyone on the team at 70%(ahead of Sims at 44.9%). He has the third best percentage from 3 at 40%(behind Sims 47.5%). He is our third best FT shooter at 76.9%(ahead of Sims 71.9%). He averages 4.2 rebounds compared to Sims at 5.5 in 9 minutes less. He has 7 blocks, 1 behind Dodd, Sims has 0.

The only thing holdng back Boggs is McGrath. If he started and played the same minutes as Sims, his production would likely besimilar or better than Sims in every area but 3 pt. shooting. Gimme' a break. Not to knock Sims, but just because you like him, doesn't mean there aren't other good players on this team. Boggs is without question one of them.

I like him a lot but there is room to get better that’s all I’m saying. I’m referring to driving the ball which will make him a killer to deal with. And, he can/will do more of it in time. And,putting on a little more muscle too in time. I really like Boggs potential for this year but even more later.

Getting back to Sims, yes, he’s playing well and has earned it. If you can play both together, you have some good length and skill with good defensive potential that will get better over time.

That was the point in the first place. Those two players are showing it on the court and have earned PT. BOTH should start and be on the court as much as possible. Of course Boggs has room to get better...he's a freshman. But even with room for improvement, he's pretty damned good right now. Especially on a team that has a severe lack of size where he can rebound, block shots and score around the basket.

Oh yea '82, I think that they are seeing this and will play Jake more. You never want to rush it with freshmen and you want to do it the right way with respect to earning it, but he's making a good case for playing good minutes for sure. And, I like the idea of having more size out there too.
