UAB likely favored to win CUSA West Title - Blazer85 - 11-23-2019 09:19 PM
Going into the final week of the regular season, UAB should be statistically favored to win the CUSA West.
I say this because UAB will likely be statistically favored to beat UNT and FAU will be favored to beat USM.
Although we will be holding our breath on that final day of the regular season CUSA action, we are the ones likely to actually be favored to win the West.

Yup. There is no scenario with an USM win that would allow UAB to win the West. And I don't believe there is a scenario for UAB to host the Championship Game either.

Correct. If USM wins, we can’t win CUSA West. But USM won’t be favored against FAU. Doesn’t mean they couldn’t win. But if the oddsmakers were looking at who will be likely to win CUSA West, heading into the upcoming weekend, UAB should be the favorite given the likely odds in both the UAB and USM games.

Southern Miss may have a few key injuries going into next week. Notably their QB. Will hear how serious over next 2-3 days
North Texas is 4-7 after losing at Rice 20-14.
May not have to play TJ3 next week either. and didn’t look all that great with the way he was walking around in a brace. He did throw in warm ups. He had a thigh bruise he suffered from following the Akron game.

So, If-FAU wins, what do they get out of it. and UAB wins then UAB goes to the championship game. Hope The Blazers have some FAU fans. Don't see where the motivation is their for For FAU to win other then it is a win. Guess I'm a FAU Fan and a Blazer Fan this week.

FAU winning not only puts us in CUSA championship game, but them too. They’re playing for division title next weekend.

So. If the Blazers win and FAU wins, It will be the Blazers and FAU for the Championship.

I hope the team isn't taking UNT.
UNT has been terrible away.
UNT is one lone loss at home is from UH. Granted most of UNT's wins have been against the same west division teams we've faced and MTSU.
We';; see how the line moves as the week goes on.

As opposed to UAB coasting in to this game knowing they were in the championship game and maybe only having the ability to host it riding on the game, it would be the type game UAB could very likely lose.
However in our situation, the players should be highly motivated to win knowing that it’s win or there’s no shot at playing for a title.
UNT can be dangerous and they will be motivated playing at home and on senior day. But no question UAB should have even more motivation than they do. I think that will be the difference in the game. I expect a close one though. Win by a FG or single TD.

The Southern Miss game kicks off 30 minutes before ours on NFL Network. Our game kicks off at 3:00 on Stadium. Does anyone know if it is the Stadium channel/stream or is it locked to facebook like many of the stadium streams are?
