Rice should be locked in as a 2-seed. Let's see where they send us.

Amazing comeback in the 4th, but it was very clear why WKU's setter was named the best in the conference. She was the difference

Just got home from the match. Incredibly exciting. Heartbreaking to again lose to WKU in 5 sets, but the Hilltoppers are an incredible team. What's scary is the fact that their entire team is coming back next year - with the exception of number 23 (the one with the wicked left-handed serve).

This has been a fun Rice team to watch. Will be anxious to see where they go for the NCAA tournament. Would love to travel to see them play.

Anywhere besides Austin. No way we can beat Texas twice in one year.

Pessimistic me says watch us get snubbed for an at large bid. Can that happen for a top 25 ranked team(assuming we are still top 25 after this weekend) with a top 20 RPI? 01-lauramac2

Man would that be gut-wrenching. I too am usually pessimistic - but I just don't see how we can be skipped over, especially given our win over Texas.

If this were Men's Basketball it would almost be a certainty because some P5 with a .500 record would just deserve to get in more than top 25 mid major. Women's sports don't seem quite that corrupt yet, but we'll see.

Yes, she was the difference, but WKU's overall defense was as good as I've seen all year. Great comeback in the 4th set, but we inexplicably went passive in the 5th set, opting for numerous dunk shots while passing up kill opportunities. Still, we showed a light of heart and fight.

Where they decide to send us as a #2 seed should be interesting.

No way we get passed over with a 24 - 3 record, with all losses coming to Top 30 ranked teams in 5 sets....and not with a Top 15 or 16 RPI. Inconceivable.

I hope so Walt!

We are a lock for the NCAA. Good effort today, wish I could have been there.

Hope to make it to the NCAA first weekend again if we play in the state.

The NCAA bracket will be revealed on Sunday, December 1 ... "time and network to be announced."

NCAA Wrote:32 teams will receive automatic qualification while the remaining 32 teams are selected on an at-large basis by the Division I Women’s Volleyball Committee.

First and Second Rounds will be held December 5 - 7.

RE: 2019 CUSA Women's Volleyball Championship - dragon2owl - 11-25-2019 12:24 PM

Latest RPI have Rice at 14. Baylor at 1, Texas at 3, A&M at 13, WKU at 15, SFA at 29, and Texas St. at 31. UCF moved up to 22 which gives Rice another Top 25 win.

The team playing from the north end won all of the sets.

Is there an advantage? Slightly downwind from the open doors? Easier to see the ball at that end?

What about the switch in the fifth set?

WKU (19) and Rice (21) remain at the same spots in the coaches poll. Texas dropped to 4. SFA is 14 points away from the 25th spot.
