WBB vs Maryland, 11/13 - LovethoseDukes - 11-11-2019 12:37 PM
This has the potential to be a very interesting game. I watched a little of the South Carolina-Maryland game the other night and Maryland is beatable (see their loss to USC). If we can play the way we all know we can, this could end up as a very good upset.
I have confidence that the ride back from Philadelphia on Saturday night was full of suggestions, coaching, and discussions on how to eliminate/minimize the mistakes and play with the JMU confidence we know these women have.
In his post-game interview Saturday night, Coach O said one of the keys is a raucous crowd. Come to see the men play at 4 and stay for this game, just come for this game, I don't care...just be in the Convo Wednesday night.
For those of you long distance folks, game will be televised on MASN.

Following an emotional loss against a better team can sometimes be part of the recipe for success/an upset.
*Cough* Va Tech losing to Boise St *cough*
Emotionally I think the loss lines up well for the lady Dukes.
BTW - It's funny when I hear things other places that make me wonder if it's due to threads on here.
Curt commented last week about "Women" Dukes, and also something about "lady" Dukes and how at one time they were called the Dutchess. But he really emphasized the "Women" Dukes.

Another double header tomorrow. Men's game at 4pm and the women's at 7. Excited to attend both, but really looking forward to this game.

I think the DH are a great idea and marketing thing for a couple of early season OOC matchups. Get some crossover that may not regularly attend one or the other.

Wednesday is also the start to the week-long early signing period. Coach O I believe has 5 verbal commits he expects will sign in the coming days. I'm sure his day would get off to a wonderful start tomorrow if some, if not all, of those 5 sign their LOI's.
Pretty much locking up a signed class in the early signing period is such a win because the coaching staff can then start focusing all their attention on the current season as well as recruiting sophs and juniors in high school.
Wednesday could be a wonderful day indeed for the WBB Dukes in addition to hopefully logging an upset of the Twerps.

Maryland is going to be a little touchy after losing to South Carolina. But I don't think they're as good as they think they are, although they do have some very good players.

28-13 Dukes w/ 6:17 left in half. Kiki went down with ankle/knee injury though.
