On a happier note, if RB Tre Siggers is healthy (he probably isn't 100%), he may be able to keep us from getting blown out. That guy is a beast.

I hope I'm wrong, but my prediction...

North Texas 17
LA Tech 45

I wasn't far off on my prediction. Congratulations LA Tech. You have the better team, and on a budget too.

North Texas will not have a better team until we get serious about acquiring better line talent (both offensive and defensive). I hope today's embarrassment goes a long way towards the personnel change we need. It is time for someone else to lead our defense, and we start the search for our next DC. I got to admit, I wouldn't mind hiring LA Tech's DC.

Just lol

Tough game for UNT players and fans. So many guys went down today.
Thought your D was the reason you guys stayed in the game for as long as you did today.
Jmar was completely out of his comfort zone in the first half.

JMar and WRs were having a very off day between some poor passes and easy drops.

That was a complete beatdown.

I hope both Mason & your KR are okay UNT - good game

I hate "platoon" substitutions....and that's exactly what Skip Holtz did right before UNT finally scored their first TD late in the 4th qtr. Tech was leading 45-3, when Holtz finally inserted 11 new substitutes on defense all at once. BOOM! UNT scored on the very next play against these subs.

IMO, it was too many subs too fast. I realize subs need to get playing time and experience too, but putting 11 cold subs in the game at once just seemed silly to me. IMO, Holtz should have cascaded his subs in on defense a few at a time.

Wow what an ass kicking

Preseason SideJoe ran with “Tech’s defense will take a step back” from losing Jaylon Ferguson. Of course all the ill-informed ran with that also.

I said Tech’s secondary will be the best and most experienced in CUSA. And UNT will will take a step back with “no defense” Littrell. Thats proven to be correct....

Fine went out in the second quarter. It would have been closer with Fine but I believe Tech would have still won because of UNT swiss cheese defense

It sure has. LA Tech's defense sure has saved Tech's arse on many occasions over the past few weeks. I don't know if it is the new DC's input or what.....but it has sure been working.

It helps having a really good secondary & our young DL is starting to develop

It's definitely his ability to make halftime adjustments. Baker was good, but we didn't adjust after half, which is why he failed to mimic Diaz's abilities. Diaz and Diaco >>>>> Baker...

I see #18 with an outstanding timely pass break-up...
