Finebaum is on the case! Pawwwwwwwwwwwl has already adopted Notre Dame...

I would support that I think.

Notre Dame gets some great games every year and SEC gets another legitimate blue blood school. We only play 8 games so it would allow them to preserve So Cal, Stanford, and Navy with room for another tune up game.

No

Notre Dame would be a good fit for the SEC. Make this happen!

Gotta think we go divisionless in this scenario - I don't see a logical number 16 out there.

Everyone gets 5 permanent opponents and 3 rotating each year, so every three years you get to play all 14 other teams.

Notre Dame gets - Alabama, UGA, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, and Kentucky each year.

Who says no?

Unless the SEC were to allow ND to keep their own separate media contract with NBC, it's not going to happen.

ACC is a great fit actually for the level ND is now competing on with all the academic restrictions.

SEC is too tough IMO.

Good thing they wrote (Bad Idea Time:) to start the article.

Waste of time. Waste of discussion. Notre Dame would never want to be associated with the SEC culture.

Never happening

This has to be one of the most embarrassing moments for many of the posters in a thread in a long long time. How many of you read the link?

Read the link and then see how ridiculous some of the responses are.

The writer unabashedly tells you it is a farce. I posted it for some levity and humor for the board! I think 5 responses grasped the humor of it. The rest not so much.

Funny article. Thanks for sharing.

And people forget that ND is under contract with the ACC to have their football join the ACC if they gave up being semi-independent

No they can just play light-schedules to get to the Playoff. Tis easier that way.

Quote:Notre Dame now gets to lose Fiesta Bowls despite having 7-5 records. S_it, SEC fans puffed up the conference when Ole Miss was good for a month. They can annoy you about Notre Dame in their sleep.

Hypothetically, in a year that Notre Dame was at the top the SEC could have 3 or 4 teams in the CFP. Talk about insufferable!
