RPI Confernece rankings - tigerdave84701112 - 10-20-2019 01:25 PM

AAC 5, ACC 6. Bout time. 7 teams getting votes in coaches poll, ACC has 5. AAC has three ranked teams. ACC has two.

We have fewer OOC non P5 losses than the SEC. We have a SOS .3 behind Big 10.

Whoever wins the AAC championship will be in the Cotton Bowl. Even a 1 loss champ over an undefeated App St or 1 loss Boise or anyone else for that matter

RE: RPI Confernece rankings - ncrdbl1 - 10-20-2019 06:51 PM

AAC is closer to the 4th position than the 6th position.

The espn announcers admitted as much last night. I was stunned.

We should change our chain gang markers from P6 to P5.

Pump the brakes on being over undefeated App St. Though everyone will be able to tell a lot more in few weeks when the first CFP poll comes out.

App St biggest win is North Carolina who has a losing record and if they beat South Carolina it’s nice but current they have a losing record as well

Yes, but both would be road wins against power 5 teams, albeit not very good ones. App St. is very much a potential roadblock.

Don't worry about it. This time WE benefit from the prejudice of TV and ratings for more popular schools and conferences.

That. Is. Incredible.

RE: RPI Confernece rankings - Claw - 10-23-2019 07:32 PM

Unbelievable!!! That so needs to get to the network guys.

RE: RPI Confernece rankings - Claw - 10-23-2019 07:33 PM

Have you sent that to Aresco???

RE: RPI Confernece rankings - TigerBlue4Ever - 10-23-2019 07:37 PM

Good stuff, we just need the same team as showed up against Tulane to show up for the remainder of our games and good things will come.

We need to keep improving week to week. That is what all of the teams left on our schedule are doing. Do not get left behind on your laurels.

And if you consider that UConn is dead man walking, the 11-team AAC would have an index of 26.75, putting them in 4th position, ahead of the PAC12.

SEC 29.54
B10 28.95
B12 28.30
AAC 26.75
PAC12 25.61
ACC 24.55
MWC 21.26

We’re now in 4th, before the PAC-12 and the ACC

RPI is trash, though.

That "measurement" has Bama losing to LSU by 13 points.
