I think a top 20, undefeated SMU under 23K is much funnier...but that's just me.

Theirs is probably legit at least. You guys haven't had more than 2500 in the crowd even with all the free tickets.

No G5 schools' announced attendances are legit. You sound like a liarface.

They’ve had 30 years of nothing to give a damn about since the death penalty and Texas blowing up the SWC. They have a real excuse. They were a powerhouse in the 80’s and their historic rivals have not been willing to schedule them. I bought 4 season tickets for ECU last year and never attended a game so I kind of, a little, understand how they feel. Who wants to spend thousands on tickets and donations to suffer through watching **** year after year? I grew up in the 80’s and remember the Pony Express so I’m happy to see a historic power who is in our conference on the upswing and 23 thousand real people actually in their stadium on TV.

I understand that excuse if it's the beginning of the season. But this is week 8, and they are undefeated. 23K is awful for a Top 20 team at this point in the season, regardless of how bad you've been since the SWC blew up.

I'm just saying the past 30 years has destroyed their fan base. It might take a minute for people to finally notice they're not a fluke.

I don't have a lot of sympathy for UCONN's situation right now because the wounds are self inflicted. Your boosters and administration have raised the white flag and made excuse after excuse as to why the AAC has caused UCONN to suck, which is bull****. Maybe UCONN just sucks right now and it's your own fault. All the other schools are starting to thrive and you guys are running away. Sorry but thats the truth.

And if you remember, I've been a UCONN apologist here and have loved being in a conference with UCONN because I have UCONN friends and history in CT. So I'm not just shitting on UCONN for the sake of it.

Not sure what UCONN has to do with SMU's attendance, but I can guarantee you that a ranked, undefeated UCONN in Week 8 (contending for the Access Bowl) would have 30K+ in attendance. We were regularly averaging near 40K during our 8 win seasons.

too bad they don't have Houston at home this season...that game would bring out a decent crowd to Ford Stadium

You do know the only reason SMU was a "power" was because they cheated on a monumental scale, right?

Along with the rest of the SWC. Really the SEC at that point too.

Memphis' final two home games are #16 SMU and #18 Cincy so I'm hoping (fingers crossed) for 40k+ crowds for both.

same with Wooden/UCLA and UNC/Roy Williams...they just decided to come down REALLY hard on SMU while they treat a select few with kid gloves.

Nah, UConn would have like 25k in the stands and then say they would have more if they were back in the Big East playing Rutgers and Pitt.
