Favorite USM Logos/Traditions? - homefield - 10-15-2019 05:05 PM

Hey guys!

Just joined the community - I'm Connor and I help run Homefield. We make premium (read: extra comfortable) college apparel, and try to make unique/vintage designs for schools of all sizes. We know that no matter how much research we do, it'll never compare to the knowledge of die-hards, which is why we joined this community.

We have a few USM items on the site right now (https://www.homefieldapparel.com/collections/southern-mississippi), and we want to add even more. This is where you come in. No one loves the Golden Eagles and the school more than you, and we want to learn from the experts.

Mainly: what are your favorite USM logos/traditions? We only want to make apparel that serves the most passionate fans, and we take that input quite seriously.

Even if you don't have any favorite logos/traditions, if you ever are thinking about ordering some USM stuff, let me know and I'll be sure to hook you up with a solid discount.

Would love attack eagle - USM is in a legal battle over it right now (as I'm sure ya'll would know better than me), but we'd love to use it one day.

The feather logo is under-appreciated.

There was also a Seymour head from the early ‘90s just before the attack eagle took hold that some folks called “the chicken hawk” that might make some cool retro merchandise. I’ll have to find an example of it. Can’t seem to find one on the web.

This guy has 2 posts and apparently roots for Indiana. Is it possible he knows about a lawsuit no USM fans know about? Yes. Is it more likely he is confused and just came here to pimp some shirts? Probably.

I like 1 or 2 of the shirts from the link. Especially this one

If was priced at $15 prob sell a lot....but not so many at $32 (We po'). I think $20-25 is fair. Awesome shirt though. Like to see one in Black and one in Gold as well. Especially if was in this color Gold [Image: ff_2584152alt1_full.jpg&w=900]

Reg, I still have that tattered sweatshirt from back in '80s (Russell athletics)...if I can find it, I'll snap a pic and post it....it was truly (and still is) my fave....it's actually fk'n gold toned....

The 2003 logo is not in use anymore, right? Actually, I like the current USM logo a lot. IMHO one of the coolest logos in College Sports.

Under-appreciated and under-utilized.
How appropriate they put 12 on the helmet.
What other program has went from 12 wins to 12 losses in one season.
