Patrick Taylor - uskjtc02 - 10-09-2019 09:49 PM

Any news if and when he will return?

RE: Patrick Taylor - Bathtub Gin - 10-09-2019 10:17 PM

Maybe by SMU game but the problem is that he won’t be in game shape so if he stays healthy we won’t see big pat being big pat until the last 3 or 4 games of the season

Mississippi loves the low hit. Two great backs they hurt..... Not to mention Steve. And Hudgens. Anyone see a theme

At this point, just pull a D'Eric King.

Does he have a redshirt to burn? I thought he'd already used one.

Medical redshirt, though? Unlike King and company, PT did miss time due to injury.

The guy could have declared for the draft last year. I doubt he sticks around, even if he has the opportunity to redshirt.

Yes, that is also why I assume they are taking their getting him back on the field. No reason to rush a return with potentially millions of dollars on the line for him...

no reason to come back and risk injury. pro scouts are already aware of what he can do. he needs to get ready for the combine and draft.

If he thinks he's proven what he can to scouts and NFL teams, then I wouldn't blame him for shutting it down and protecting himself from injury. But I think he can improve his draft stock quiet a bit if he comes back and plays and has more success on the field.

This is the type of great info that keeps bringing me back to this site.

Yeah! How dare btiger have a sense of humor! Doesn't btiger know this is strictly a news source?

You don't know that. It only matters what NFL scouts say - not you or anyone here. If they say he just needs to get healthy, then he should go pro now. If they say he has work to do, he needs to come back.

BTW, PT is a fierce competitor and he won't shut it down unless he really has to do so. He has not used a redshirt, so the option exists. As I said a few weeks ago...With this new NCAA rule, I suppose he could play the final 2 games, still redshirt and come back.
