They were having a long conversation about Kennedy Chandler...then towards the end Easterhood witched tone and voice. Dtarted talking about how GP and the company that owns 92.9 owed him money. Brad worked the bleep button very well. Was awkward to say the least.

You must not listen to that segment that often then... Keith is drunk at least once a month while on radio with Gary. Thats what makes the segment so good, you never know what you are gonna get.

It was at the stations I ran. We had a well know Dallas DJ who was doing the 7P to 12 Mid shift at KLIF and he was drinking a beer in the studio. The Program Director fired him. I think the FCC rule is that broadcasters must not be impared (drunk) while on the air. In addition, if you go on the air drunk... you were not going to be working at KLIF or KPLX because there is no telling what kind of stupid and harmful things would be said over the airwaves. It's the same as showing up for work drunk at any business say....as a PA announcer, TV news commentator, etc. I am not saying that is what is happing with Keith, because I don't know. I am just saying that this is the way we ran our ship. Of course, now-a-days many radio personalities broadcast remotely from their homes and living rooms and you have no idea that they are located there. Since there is no one overseeing them....I feel pretty sure some of them drink a little while on the air and it would be next to impossible to catch them at it.

Strange quality of entertainment. Listening to a man that routinely is drunk on air falling heading long into profanity laden senseless dialog. You enjoy seeing the man self-destruct?

I generally turn him off as soon as he comes on.

There must be some way to get around that. I have heard several shows that had drinking on air. Howard Stern show (before sirius) a few times and his immediate replacement here in Memphis Rovers Morning Glory.. of course, shock radio was the thing then.

He's not always like that, hell just 2 weeks ago he was on there getting emotional and crying when Gary asked how he was doing. Easterwood says what he thinks, just so happens when he is a bit tipsy he likes to use more colorful language than usual. Easterwood is a very entertaining guy other wise he wouldnt have a weekly segment with GP every Tuesday.

You can continue to not listen if that pleases you.
