Think 3 to play 2. He played in 2018 and '19.

EDIT: This is in the wrong thread. Parks is a 2020 recruit.

Incredible commit! He has NFL ability, incredible hands, speed, can start and stop, and cut on a dime...…..He has to be a starter...…..Next up Zion Bowens, and hopefully a great DE!!!!!!! Creighton had to promise him the world!!!!!!

Just a little thinking out loud:

I sense that the unofficial, junior day comments from the h.s. juniors visiting EMU have been very, very positive.

I'm wondering if they have been swayed by the SAPC and buzz from the QL Bowl. Not hard to show some highlights of the bowl game on the TV screens in the SAPC.

BTW, this is the 247sports list of "2021 EMU Prospects." Folks say why don't we go after that 4-star DE? or 4-star whatever from a nearby city. Well we do...

We offer the best prospects in the Midwest...

Maybe our EMU dad can help, but I believe the staff divides up MI.

What I'm saying is say one coach has Florida and a part of MI.

Another may have OK and Colorado and another part of MI.

It is not like one coach has FL and another (or two) have MI to themselves.

Saw he was listed as that as well. His highlights make it look like he’s a running back though? And a middle linebacker. So confusing. Guessing he’s a PWO.

Yeah, I watched his Hudl highlights and not sure what position he'll play.

I was hoping he'd commit to us, but chose WMU.

That's W Mich 5th commitment for 2021! Do we've any yet? Creighton needs to start winning some recruiting battles, it's year SEVEN! I'm afraid he has hit his peak.......I sure hope I'm totally wrong! We beat W Mich last season..........have to compete with Toledo, W Mich, N Illinois, C Mich on the recruiting front!

The world has changed. The Earvin Johnson from Lansing that chose MSU, the Lavell Blanchard from A2 that chose UM and the Walt Church and Scott Davis that went to EMU just are not doing that now. A kid from Ann Arbor wants to leave town to go to school. Ty Groce went to an East Coast school before issues sent him back home. Jake Donellon was our first Washtenaw County recruit since 2008!

Who knows why? Perhaps electronic communications diminish the hometown disconnect of the past. EMU's campus obviously is far more attractive than it was 20 years ago, but the City of Ypsilanti has experienced a dramatic decline in that time frame as well, honestly it is not attracting recruits.

To his credit, Creighton has landed a bunch more kids from Michigan, including Hynes from Milan. That said, that effort might mirror Murphy's class in 2017-18 when he changed his previous JUCO direction. Jones, Ellison, King, Silver and McAdoo did not work out so good.

We all want four year athletes from nearby high schools but the world has changed.

That I understand completely, but in order to compete with the big boys, ala the blue bloods of the MAC, Toledo, W Mich (lately), N Illinois, Bowling Green historical, etc...….We need to find a way to get these kids with 5 plus offers consistently! Buffalo had A horrible football program, nearly as bad as E Mich, but Leipold has taken them to a new level, Kent St might be headed in that direction, Solich the same at Ohio U, Fleck at W Mich, They won some recruiting battles! Last year we had the most 3 stars recruits ever, and that's a great job by this staff, but we didn't in my opinion, and I hope I'm wrong get great DL, DT, LB, and CB, similar to what just graduated! We way over recruited on the offensive side of the ball! How many QB, and WR do you need? I'm seeing a 5-7 season next season...….Year SEVEN A great MAC coach has to win the MAC! Look at Buffalo...…..Look at Miami OH...…..It's time, or is 5-7, 7-6, 7-6, and 6-7 the goal? 25-26 over 4 years......
