For those who saw the game: Did the defense play better in second half? If that is so that is a positive. Coach did day say tackling was as an issue on the running backs. Issue is my word not his.

They asked what his biggest concerns were other than the communication problems on defense ( which led to the wide open receivers).

That’s just unrealistic, it’s game two.
The press did ask some tougher questions, and even one to your point where Lester contrasts his demeanor with a hangry Bill Cubit.
One of the subtexts of the presser I got was we’re missing Mr. Moment right about now, against a big MSU back.

The biggest problem on defense against MSU was (1) DB's giving receivers ten yards of cushion on every play, and (2) terrible tackling. My MSU friends with me at the game said that it looks like we were playing a "prevent" defense on every play.
