The band IS going. Their call time Friday Morning is something ridiculous like 5:30am, but my daughter says the good news is that their call time for Saturday is like 12:00 noon. Lotta hein' and shein' gonna be going down on the beach.
She said "The beach is only an hour away!", to which I thought... man, I'm old. That sounds like a whole lot of trouble to go through when you wont have your own car there. But I guess there are such things as Uber, and friends to split the costs.

Someone said yesterday there’s an alumni sponsored pep rally Friday night on the USS Alabama. Friends of ours in Mobile are hosting us so our tix are in the USA section

We must have a good contingent number of fans going if they are sending the band, should be a fun road trip

Im in St George Island in the gulf and there is barely anyone here which is great. Im trying to convince my brother to go to mobile for the game. I drove but he has a 2 year old.

The absolute best time to hit Gulf Shores/ Orange Beach is Sept. Still hot enough to do the pool and beach, but its pretty much a ghost town. We went about 4 years ago and basically had the Tidewater pool to ourselves all week. Same thing with the FLA Keys.
