I love barbecue shop but all I ever get is the sandwich. It’s the best sandwich for sure. And the bbq spaghetti is fire AF.

i noticed they just delivered some of the sewer on-site, supposed opening date Fall 2020. Hope none of the tenants back out, we need more places out in God's country.

I recently had the opportunity to spend some Time with Bill Rupert of Memphis. His last Pig and whistle is in Millington, TN and I highly recommend it. He is one humble, good guy that has dedicated his life to making good BBQ. He is an incredibly smart man that has been kicked in the face with health problems this year but still fighting through. I Would put his food up to anyones in this city.

BBQ Shop. Anybody can cook the meat. It's the sauce that makes the difference. Order dry with sauce on the side.

BBQ Shop actually has three options. Wet, dry and glazed. I really like the glazed.

Baby backs are fall off the bone good. And they give you a basket of pork rinds.

I would recommend two places, in this order-
1. Central BBQ
2. Anything not named Rendezvous

And your probably not getting baby back at most places in Memphis ribs but rather St. Luis cut that are larger and meatier.

RE: Baby Back Ribs - murphster - 08-28-2019 10:36 PM

Recently, I had company in town and we ate at Central, Rendevous, and Corky's. While we enjoyed the ribs at each the Rendevous ribs were everyone's least favorite. I will say we also had beef brisket at Rendevous and Corky's and Rendevous was much better.

Memphis ribs are spare ribs ... not baby back.
