Epstein, Bill and Hillary?

RE: Newest Monmouth poll out in the Dem race - VA49er - 08-26-2019 12:44 PM

Quote:Moderate voters, who have been paying less attention, seem to be expressing doubts about Biden. But they are swinging more toward one of the left-leaning contenders with high name recognition rather than toward a lesser known candidate who might be more in line with them politically,” said Patrick Murray, director of the independent Monmouth University Polling Institute.

Well, that isn't really inspiring, is it? Let's go with the name we know versus someone that we actually agree with politically. Makes no sense, IMO.

I'm sure the name recognition think works both ways. I just find it extremely odd how anyone could go with that versus going for someone they actually agree with politically.

A national poll of less than 400 people with a 6%MoE. Why do people take these seriously?

I was agreeing with you though I am probably the only one who got my joke

There are some people willing to vote D (or R) just to have a D (or R) in the white house, regardless of what it means for the country

There are people who only know that Trump is bad and would vote for a toaster if it ran against him

They call them moderates, but what does that really mean today? It seems to me what that means is someone inside the mainstream of the democratic party like Biden, which is being left behind (and out) by the justice democrats and socialists.

the last Monmouth poll looked kind of flaky. Don't remember whether it was national or Iowa.

Sad, but true. 40% of the country is going to vote for whoever has an R behind their name and 40% of the country is going to vote for the one with the D behind their name. It's the 20% in the middle that matter

I don't understand why everyone is taking a poll done by this lady serious in the first place?

After all, she's just a fictional Star Wars character. What does she know about polling data?

Obviously, she knows nothing about it since she took a “national random sample”, including <300 self-identified Democrats, instead of just asking people in the 4 states with the early caucuses/primaries.

Epstein didn't run fast enough to beat those two evidently.

https://thefederalist.com/2019/08/27/pundits-guide-handicapping-democratic-nomination/

Federalist handicaps the race. His opinion, Warren's to lose. Buttigieg the longshot. Everyone else toast.

His caveat: "...Fortunately, I’m a resident of Washington, where a pundit’s imprecise predictions do not limit his employment potential...."

Anyone with sexist or slut shaming posts needs to grow up. She has plenty of flaws both politically and professionally to pick apart. Stick to those.
