Anyone know when Tom Porten left, or why? I wasn’t even aware he was gone. Porten had been HC for 10 years.
New HC has an excellent resume.
NOTE: I subsequently found a Golf Week notice dated June 10 that Porten’s contract was not renewed.

Hope he makes progress. Seems like we'd be more competitive with the Jerry Rich support/donations and Rich Harvest Farms (top 100) as a home course.

Announced a new womens tennis coach today. Wonder if coaches contracts aren't being renewed for financial reasons, because they aren't competitive or because they have left the program.

If you look at the 2 programs in question, Men's Golf and Women's Tennis, the teams had not been very competitive recently. Coaches may have been removed when their contract was up. Similar situation to last year when the Women's Soccer coach was replaced.
