I'm a fan of Cacok like everyone else but it makes me laugh to hear him talk about how he can defend positions 1-5 when he couldn't defend his own last year or stay on the court. Yes, I realize defense is about the team but seriously?

The open question is whether the horrible defense of the last two seasons was due to the inability/unwillingness of the players to play defense, or rather was it due to the defensive scheme devised by the UNCW coaching staff. I suspect the 2019-2020 Seahawk team will give us our answer.

Clearly the Lakers coaching staff thinks Cacock can play some defense....

I think you just answered your own question. There will be no hiding this year. I'm hoping for the best!

Cacok was DPOY on a well coached team that went to the NCAA Tournament. When the whole team is bad on defense it's a coaching issue, not a Cacok issue. DC will be fine defensively now that he'll finally get some good coaching again.

You just showed your hand GM. Good luck CB.

Look I've been as supportive of CB as anyone. I will continue to support him and the team but there's no need to lie to ourselves and act like the coaching hasn't been atrocious the last two seasons. I hope he learns from his mistakes and we have a competitive team again.
