“Send her back” - Rasser - 07-18-2019 01:21 PM

After taking on the four freshmen with “they should go back to where they came from” which is historically racist AF to a person of color, especially when all but Omar were born in the USA, Trump the #mangomussolini turned his venom to Omar and singled her out to leave disregarding she came over very young as a refugee fleeing chaos, is a naturalized citizen and an elected representative.

Her views are “radical” but that implication and head bobbing while encouraging those chants was beyond the pale in my opinion.

Read Ayaan Hirsi Ali's piece in the 07/12/19's WSJ.

Just wish the focus would be on presenting the plans for the Republican Health Care Proposal, preventing human trafficking, addressing infrastructure needs, improving education, getting a grip on the opioid crisis, and more. Name calling and chants won't remedy these concerns that we all have.

Mitch McConnell, the Senate majority leader, quashed his 100th bill of the year. That’s one hundred pieces of legislation — on infrastructure, on health care, on gun safety, on every single topic that American voters say is important to them in their everyday lives — that haven’t just stalled on McConnell’s desk, but have been forwarded directly to the trash can. Let the Senate vote on them and get the freakin' ball rolling.

Regardless of what one thinks of "The Squad" or which side of political spectrum you are on -

Donald Trump is incompetent and an embarrassment as POTUS.

To suggest someone leave this country because they criticize the leadership was tried numerous times before, including the height of the Viet Nam War Protests to counter the protestors ultimately correct take on the war.

It's unAmerican and dangerous talk. Not to mention it will put a target on her back.

The right talking heads claimed, incorrectly so that Obama divided the country which was a crock. This orange idiot is doing his best to drive a wedge between whites and everyone else. That rally last night was sickening and gross.

To see him disingenuously say today that he didn't like the chanting after watching that rally says all that we need to know about this complete abomination, sorry excuse of a man. Not only is he a nasty, word game playing racist, he's a coward.

Yeah, the good family man, one wife, raised his kids, no porn stars paid off to commit felony campaign violations, no playmates saying he tried to pay her for sex out of habit, no rape accusations from children, didn't hang around with convicted sex trafficker perverts, no tapes of him saying he didn't grab women by their privates, no daily lie tracker, I could go on and on.

You mean THOSE CONSEQUENCES?! He's hardly the first person to say that by the way, and definitely not the last. I vividly remember mangomussolini saying "Hey, I AM PRESIDENT, I WON" on the White House lawn.

Nothing Trump does surprises me, since before he was elected. In a different situation he would be a dictator. I am sure he wishes he was.

There is no debate that Trump is the most vile president the United States has ever seen.

I believe Andrew Jackson and Woodrow Wilson, both
Dems have him beat. Better read up on your history.

"Yeah our guy is a racist POS, but he's not as bad as the Trail of Tears guy or the purge the civil service of black people guy." Come on man. This isn't sports. Don't be a fan of a team. Jackson and Wilson are garbage. The Democratic party has a shameful history of white supremacy. Right now, though, it's the GOP that embodies that strain of US political history. Quit treating politics like Western-Central.

Yes that is exactly what this current president wants you to do. Rather than see how disgusting he actually is, he wants you to compare him to Old Hickory and say "Well he might be bad, but at least he isn't committing one of the biggest atrocities in American history".

I understand why people defend him. People are too proud to admit they are wrong about voting for him. Rather than say they made a mistake, they double down and say he's not as bad as someone from 1830. The people who do this are morons, but that is why they do it.

No, they do it to point out hyperbole.

Why? Cause he called out an elected official that tried to justify the terror from 9/11? Meanwhile AOC is pushing for fully fledged socialism and wants to open the floodgates at the border.

I'm no fan of AOC and her ilk. But you've got to attack on policy and character. Not "go back where you can from" tropes.

I mean I get why Trump did it. Aside from revving up his own hard core base, it forces the D party's more reasonable types like Pelosi to defend them, creating a perception that AOC Far Left = Entire Democratic Party. He wants the 'Squad' to be the face of the party so that it scares moderates, independents and Amash-style anti-Trump conservatives in 2020. Up until then there was a far left vs. centrist battle going on within the Democrats.

So to that end, have to admit it's a savvy, calculated move. But at what cost? A POTUS instructing American-born (most of them) elected officials to "go back where they came from," basically a centuries-old command used for racist means. And that odious stuff trickles down into mainstream society where more people are emboldened to say/do awful things.

You don't need hyperbole to explain what a jack wagon Trump is, the biggest liar, con man, racist jerk I've ever seen in the White House. And that's saying something.

Unindicted coconspirator in a felony election crime as well. THAT is pretty bad.

Do you have any proof for those claims?

Proof that he's the biggest liar, con man, racist jerk that I've ever seen?

Or the unindicted coconspirator part?

I think your canned challenge backfired on you there.

RE: “Send her back” - HaymondAtThe4 - 07-22-2019 09:21 PM

Ilhan Omar *absolutely did not* "try to justify 9/11. That is a LIE. She was speaking about the beginning of the CAIR, which is an organization that defends Muslim civil rights. She said "Some people did something" and then Muslims' civil liberties were systematically violated. Some people think that language was insufficiently respectful of 9/11, (see attached video link if you think that and support Trump) I disagree. But no one could reasonably describe that quote as a justification of 9/11.

Omar, Tlaib, AOC, and Pressley are good btw.
