Ryan Boyce - jaymay2525 - 05-18-2019 11:59 AM

With Penny's recruiting class....think he has some buyer's remorse now?

RE: Ryan Boyce - blazerball25 - 05-18-2019 01:23 PM

Hard to think that he doesn't have some regret. I can't believe he turned down his UAB scholly and went to Memphis as a walk-on essentially, not even on scholarship. Took a redshirt year and will now undoubtedly ride the pine for this entire next season.

Good luck to the kid, but seems like he got some bad advice somewhere along the way.

RE: Ryan Boyce - THE_LEGEND - 05-18-2019 08:08 PM

We would gladly take him back.

I don't make it a habit of keeping up with players who don't sign with UAB.

We means those of us boosters that want to win. I'm not an PR person for the coaching staff.

I too am a booster and want to win. I think we will be very good next year with our current roster.

Why? What makes you think that?

Why would he regret it? He may get to cut down a net as a national champ this year.

Based on what we got coming back and who we signed. Only time will tell, but I feel good about the talent assembled.

Agree jball. Really excited about the makeup of our team.

Boyce can stay in Memphis and be a practice player. Seriously doubt we would take him now even if we had a spot.

Looks good on paper, can't say we signed an impact guy for this year. The back court still worries me feel fine about the frontcourt. There's too many unknowns

Lots of interchangeable parts, though. Just have to fit them together to come up with the most effective combinations. Still wish we would have come up with an extra shooter, even though I think we will be better shooters this year.

Lots of inexperience too, and only 11 guys who should all get good minutes.

RE: Ryan Boyce - UAB Band Dad - 05-21-2019 04:28 PM

Only 11? That number is usually around eight, right?

Looks like Luis is back!!!!!!!!!

RE: Ryan Boyce - UofMemphis - 05-27-2019 10:52 AM

Ryan Boyce is a 4 year project player...he may very well start his Senior season but he's not there yet.

same with Malcolm Dandridge.

But he could have started for 3 years at UAB gaining more experience and valuable playing time

RE: Ryan Boyce - THE_LEGEND - 05-27-2019 12:46 PM

I'd rather play Roebuck municipal golf club and fend off homeless beggars 24x7 than watch the Masters for free.

I guess its just how you are built.

Ryan might become bad ass at the player intros with hand slaps and ass bumping.

I don’t think he would have started 3 years. I think 2 years depending on how he progressed.
